Fabric
Weatherboard, gable and iron.
The house sits low and long on its block: painted weatherboard, steep gables, and a roof of corrugated iron. Structural detail will be described precisely once the heritage record is confirmed.
The Verandah
A room without walls.
The verandah wraps the northern face and does most of the living in the warmer months: morning coffee at one end, late reading at the other.
Interiors
Softened, not restyled.
Original joinery, high skirtings and pressed detail have been kept. Furnishing is deliberately quiet: wool, linen, unlacquered timber, and very little pattern.
